Welcome back to the official website of the Gilbert Emery Colwyn Bay & District Evening Cricket League!

The Colwyn Bay & District Cricket League was founded in 1965 for local players to participate in a game of cricket on a summer's evening. We currently have 19 teams registered as we begin our 43rd year. Our league fixtures began this season on Monday 28th April and ended with a League Representative Match and Presentation Night at Conwy Cricket Club on Thursday July 31st. The Robertson Cup Final was played at Colwyn Bay CC on Tuesday July 22nd with YSGOL PEN Y BRYN victorious over LLANRWST CC. The Tom Barlow Cup Final was played at Conwy CC on Tuesday July 29th with CONWY COLTS beating PENRHYN ARMS by 4 wickets with only 3 balls remaining. The 2007 AGM was held on FRIDAY 19th OCTOBER at CBCC @7pm where a new Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson were elected.

Membership of our successful league for 2008 is now closed, those wishing to register a new team for 2009 need to contact the League Secretary at cricket@dentith.plus.com before October's AGM. We would like to extend a warm welcome to Eirias High School, we look forward to welcoming them back after a long absence and also to St. David's College who return to Division 3 after a few problems in 2007. Good luck to all our teams.

John Hardman Sixes - Mochdre CC beat Llandrillo College. 8 teams participated this year.

The League Representative team under the Captaincy of Andy Spillane beat a Conwy XI in a 40 over match played on Thursday 31st July.

Not a lot of 2008 Season results, reports, 50s etc on here yet I'm afraid. Despite the eagerness of many Team Secretaries to know results, league standings etc unfortunately work and family come first and this FREE service I offer takes a back seat. I will update as and when I have the time to do so. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
