Minutes of Previous Meeting: were read and approved. Proposed John Barrett, seconded Alun Evans.

Matters Arising: there were no matters arising.

Chairs’ Report: Alan Camsell welcomed everyone to the meeting and wished all teams’ good fortune for the coming season. As there were some new members around the table, all present introduced themselves. Unfortunately there were no representatives from Eirias. Alan recapped on the need for all teams to abide by the Rules of our Constitution in the hope that we can avoid repeating some of the issues which faced us last season.

Alan passed around a Summary of Events letter he had composed regarding our Leagues’ failure to honour our payment to Gilbert Emery (our sponsor), and this was read through by everyone present. Elaine Catherall explained her understanding of the situation re: mandates & signatories etc. There also appears to be some communication problems between Committee Members re: bills, money etc which needs to be resolved. Elaine suggested we pay cash to Eddie Gorst for the outstanding bill. Geoff Hawley suggested we pay £400 (£50 over the original bill) & apologise to Eddie. There was general agreement from the Committee. This was then proposed by Geoff and seconded by Martin Wright with all in favour.

Elaine agreed to pay this cash tomorrow in person. A suggestion was made by Martin Wright that in future we have 4 names on the mandate with any 2 out of the 4 being able to sign. This is something to think about for the AGM.

Secretary’s Report:
none available due to Darren being on holiday.

Treasurers’ Report:
Elaine apologised for missing the last meeting. At the AGM we had £729.46.
We then had 2 Sixes payments plus an additional payment taking us to £759.46. We still have outstanding bills – one to Gilbert Emery and one to the Secretary. Elaine has also had £214 in. Alan Camsell thanked Elaine for her work.

Geoff Hawley advised that although Mochdre's pitch is not available for evening league matches, they can still play one of the Cup Finals.
This is to be looked at.

Re-arranging of Fixtures: given some of the problems we experienced last year, we looked again at this Rule and reinforced the need to abide by it.

Any Other Business:

Alan Lavery gave a reminder that as Conwy teams use an artificial strip for midweek matches, no-one was allowed to wear spikes on it. This was reinforced by other teams who may use artificial strips.

Stuart Grant advised that from Sunday 13 – Tues 15 July the Second Test Ashes for Deaf Cricketers (England v Australia) will be held at Colwyn Bay CC. Also on Thurs 17 July the same two sides will meet for a 20/20 match.

Conwy CC are holding a ‘Festival of Cricket’ this summer commencing with the Sixes Competition on 27th July and including the Tom Barlow Cup Final on 29th July. Alan Lavery invited all evening league teams to send a representative to play in a match on Thursday 31st July.
